How incredibly lucky we are to live in such a giving community! So many people have stepped up to help support our annual golf tournament this Friday, June 7th, 2024 at Stone Hedge Golf Club!
Last year we established our student scholarship program for students continuing their education in the health field. We were able to award 1 very deserving student for 2023! Fast forward to 2024 and with our hard work here at the Foundation, we were able to select THREE scholarship recipients! Pictured here is our Executive Director, Shealynn Shave with Tunkhannock Area School District's two scholarship winners: Lauren Kovalchick and Paige Adams Congratulations ladies and best luck for your future! Our third recipient will be awarded this week!
Over 60 Lackawanna Trail teachers participated and were trained in a Stop the Bleed Initiative on Friday, October 11, 2019 during a teacher in-session day.
Welch Associates Insurance Agency recently presented the Wyoming County Community Health Foundation (WCCHF) with a donation to benefit the Foundation's local programs. The WCCHF is a not-for-profit local organization which focuses its energies on identifying, selecting, and investing in programs and organizations that will help improve the health and wellness of people in Wyoming County and surrounding communities. "Thanks to your generosity, this donation is going to help benefit many of our programs in the upcoming year," said Shealynn Shave, WCCHF's Executive Director.
WCCHF holds their first Golf Tournament at Shadowbrook Inn & Resort on October 3, 2019. All proceeds go directly to grant funding opportunities in our community.
